Why I Started This Program
Michael Santoro, a multi-award-winning designer, entrepreneur and mentor to aspiring creatives, founded this service after years of watching talented students struggle to navigate a system not built for them and then personally working with them to achieve great admission and scholarship success. He designed this program to create a sustainable, competitive advantage for his students and it works.
In his own words:
“I remember how difficult it was for my parents to navigate the confusing world of art college admissions. They were not creatives. The idea of them helping me assess my work, assemble a portfolio, provide project ideas, or coach me to know what to say about my work was completely foreign to them. I started this program to provide the services I wish I and my parents had when I was 13-17 years old.”
“I have seen the difference our programs make in gifted children’s lives. Moreover, I have seen the difference it has made in parent’s lives when their student is awarded a partial or full scholarship. I have been told several times after the fact that their investment in one or more of our programs was the best thing they ever did for their teen’s education because of the number of opportunities it created for their future.”

Art College Preparation Services – Turning Promise into Achievement

Artwork Assessment: See Where Your Teen Stands
Many parents of creative teens want to support their child’s artistic interests but aren’t sure what “good” looks like or whether their teen is on track for competitive art programs. That’s where an Artwork Assessment makes all the difference and is the first step in art college preparation.
This service is not about judgment, it’s about clarity. We carefully review your teen’s current artwork (no matter where they are in their journey) to identify strengths, gaps, and hidden potential. Parents often tell us they’re relieved to finally hear concrete, professional feedback not just compliments from friends or vague praise from teachers.
More than just an evaluation, the assessment provides a clear roadmap. You’ll know what kinds of projects will help your teen grow, what top schools are really looking for, and how to start bridging the gap between raw talent and portfolio-ready work. For many families, it’s the first real moment of confidence in the process.
Tailored Art Portfolio Projects: Customized Growth
Generic art classes and summer camps may keep your teen busy, but they often fall short when it comes to preparing for top-tier art college admissions. That’s because these programs aren’t built around your teen’s strengths, goals, or future major.
Our tailored, Art College Portfolio Projects service solves this. We create custom creative assignments and multi-week courses for your teen that are designed to develop missing skills, push conceptual thinking, and produce portfolio pieces that stand out in competitive applications.
Each project is tailored not just to your teen’s current ability, but to the kind of work elite programs want to see. We help teens break out of routine thinking, explore new mediums, and elevate their visual voice all while building focus and confidence.
Parents love that this process is structured yet creative, with expert support every step of the way. It’s how real artistic growth happens and how standout portfolios begin. And standout portfolios are not only the foundation to admissions success but generous scholarship awards. Of all of our art college preparation services, this one can make the biggest impact on your teen’s future.
Art Portfolio Preparation: Telling Their Story
Even if your teen has a lot of strong pieces, that doesn’t mean they have a strong portfolio. Admissions officers are looking for more than skill. They’re looking for intention, voice, and clarity. Our Art Portfolio Preparation service focuses on curating existing work into a compelling visual narrative, a key component of the art college preparation strategy.
We help your teen understand which pieces support their story, which need refinement, and how to fill any gaps that could cost them admission or scholarships. The result is a portfolio that not only impresses visually, but communicates who your child is as an artist and why they belong in that program. If you’ve ever worried that your teen’s work is strong but scattered, this is the process that brings it all into focus.
Admissions Strategy: Clarity, Timing, and Fit
Art college admissions are unlike any other. From portfolio uploads to separate creative statements to wildly different deadlines across schools, it’s no wonder parents feel overwhelmed. Our Admissions Strategy service is built to take that weight off your shoulders.
We work with you to identify the right-fit schools based on your teen’s strengths, goals, and creative direction. We create a custom roadmap that outlines exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to keep everything on track. This service includes help navigating majors, scholarships, pre-college credits, and school-specific quirks that could make or break a decision.
We bring the experience and insight that most school counselors simply can’t offer because art and design admissions are our full-time specialty. You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need a plan and we’ll help you build it.
Interview Coaching: Speak With Confidence
Many creative teens are visually expressive but freeze when asked to talk about their work. That’s a problem in an admissions process where interviews, statements, and even scholarship pitches often carry real weight. Our Interview Coaching service helps your teen find their voice. This is often the forgotten stage of art college preparation.
We teach them how to speak confidently and authentically about their ideas, process, and goals. It’s not about rehearsed answers. It’s about owning their story and presenting it with clarity and maturity. Parents often tell us that this service transforms their teen, not just in how they interview, but in how they think about themselves as young artists.
It’s a confidence builder and a critical step toward competitive programs and scholarship success. Even if an interview isn’t required, these skills carry over into artist statements, future critiques, and beyond.
